Joanna "JoJo" Levesque is a platinum-selling pop star who also acts, having appeared in the films "Aquamarine" and "RV." Levesque's first television appearance saw her singing and speaking with Bill Cosby on "Kids Say the Darnedest Things" at the age of seven. By 11, she had appeared on "America's Most Talented Kids," followed by performances on "Live! with Regis and Kelly," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," and "The View." In 2003, at only 12-years-old, she signed a deal with Background Records, releasing her self-titled debut the next year. While continuing to record and perform music, Levesque also began acting, getting her start in the 2002 drama "Developing Sheldon," in which she plays a younger version of the protagonist Elizabeth. The same year, she appeared in Fox's hit sitcom "The Bernie Mac Show." Soon she had a guest role in the NBC drama "American Dreams," which followed a family in the 1960s. In 2006, Levesque starred in the family fantasy movie "Aquamarine," in which she and co-star Emma Roberts discover a mermaid. Levesque was nominated for both a Teen Choice and Young Artist Award for her performance. She also starred in "RV" in 2006. This family comedy was directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and featured Robin Williams, Cheryl Hines, and Jeff Daniels. In 2008, Levesque starred as a socialite who gets moved to Indiana to experience life without fame in the Lifetime original movie "True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet."
